A Day in the Life of a homeowner at the Diplomat

You awake and look outside and find a beautiful Saturday morning. According to one weather forecast after another  after another, the entire day is going to be spectacular.

After puttering about your home taking care of a few minor interior projects and outside gardening, you decide the balance of your day is going to be purely about enjoying yourself in your environs.

But, what to do? Both of the beautiful pools here on the property beckon. Then again, the city has so much to offer. But, with so many choices, how does one pick?

While you're out, a nice lunch might be in the offing from one of Houston's many fine restaurants.

But, before you head out, you decide to check your horoscope.

Okay, what a day! After lounging around the smaller pool, some shopping, a light lunch, and a day taking in a special event, you decide to settle in for the evening. Maybe a nice home-cooked meal is in order. Maybe, in fact, it's time to invite a neighbor over for cocktails and dinner (hint hint!  Okay...Okay...can't blame us for trying.  Look here instead if you must.)  But, what to fix for dinner?  So many different tasty items from which to choose.

While dinner is cooking, you decide to arm yourself with interesting topical information and trivia about this day in history.  It's sometimes amazing how much happened on this one particular day.

At the close of the day, you now realize what you had forgotten to do. You were going to read your electric meter. After all, each unit has its own electric meter at the end of the building. Earlier in the week, you had already written down how to read a standard electric meter, since you are contemplating changing retail electricity providers to see if you can save some money. But, where is that sheet of paper? It was somewhere on your desk.

Oh well, as Scarlett would say, "tomorrow is another day."
